New president for Bournemouth funeral association
The BAFD new president, Leanne Adimi of Douch Family Funeral Directors, has officially taken on the role from outgoing president Nick Douch. The transition marks a historic continuation of the association’s service to the local funeral industry, which dates back well over 100 years.
The Bournemouth and District Association of Funeral Directors (BAFD) new president was formally recognised in a ceremony where Nick Douch, who held the post for the last two years and is managing director of her company, handed over the chain of office.
A Proud Moment for Leanne Adimi
It is a great privilege to wear the chain of office of an organisation that goes back to the 1890s.
Leanne Adimi
I watched Nick in the role over the last two years and saw how much work he did that went unnoticed.
The funeral business, like any industry, has its issues and often these are best sorted out through an umbrella organisation. I am looking forward to working hard for our members.

Leadership Handover from Nick Douch
I can’t think of a better person to take the office. Leanne will carry the role forward with passion and purpose.
Nick Douch
Leadership isn’t about titles, it’s about presence, values and contribution, all of which Leanne embodies.
I’m proud to pass the responsibility on to her and I look forward to supporting her in this role.

A Historic Bond with the Chamber
The BAFD was one of the founding members of the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce, and their bond remains strong to this day.
