My condolences on the loss of a special man taken far too soon. I’m sorry that Ben and I didn’t get the chance to know him better: I’m sure that the two karate-ka would have had much in common.
You’ll be sadly missed at Upton parkrun, Rob. I remember the many battles we had there, which you invariably won. Rest in peace, fella.
I miss your quick wit and incisive thinking. Your ability to look at a problem from a different angle. A sad loss I will miss your help. The world is a worse place without you.

Remembering all the laughs and chats from Wareham Disco to East Street, it was a pleasure and a privilege to know you. You will be so missed.
Dear Rob, after your injury and we were making almost daily journeys to Bristol ICU, in the initial two weeks, we were so rooting for you just to recover consciousness. And when you did what you went on to achieve in your rehabilitation journey was truly remarkable with the help of the brilliant teams at Bristol and subsequently Poole. Sue and I were so proud of you and continue to be. We greatly miss the Sunday roast lunches with you and Glenda, the laughs we had, and the games of Scrabble afterwards. Maisy sends a miaow, miaow for all the looking after you did. Forever in our minds. Lots of love Scott xxx
I was so lucky to have had you as my friend. I will truly miss you, especially your stupid jokes, your smile and our chats over coffee. You left us far too soon, so many unfinished adventures. Rest in peace Rob. Sooze xx

Dear Rob
The best Step-Dad and Grandad the boys and I could ever wish for. We have so many happy, funny memories of you and our adventures together that we will cherish forever.
A memory that sticks out for me was when we were on one of our many visits to Poole Park and you thought it would be hilarious to catch me off guard by picking up a Canada Goose and throwing it to me shouting “catch” and sneaking bird feed into the hood of my coat!!
I will miss your advice and encouragement every single day but I will smile whenever I think of you and know that you will be causing mischief up there.
Until we meet again “Grandad Rob”.
All our love,
Simone, Bayley & Max – AKA The Monkey Brothers

SO sad to find a young man with such a zest for life to be taken from us .
Rest in Peace. Marlene Beagrie
We remember a sunny Saturday morning, meeting you in Poole Park for parkrun and sharing a post run coffee. Rest in peace Robert.
Rob was one of the best karateka I trained with showing true courage, focus, spirit, and compassion with a wry sense of humour and fun, I will miss sparring and chatting with him.
I met Rob back in the 1980s when he ran the auto car spares shop in Wareham, I went in to ask if he would put a poster up asking for beginners to start at my karate club and he said I would not mind giving that ago.
I think it was only the following week Rob arrived and joined the club and after a number of years he attained his black belt he was so chuffed as I was was.
Bob really liked the fighting side of karate ( sparring) and entered a number of competitions.
We have lost a truly member of our club and we we miss his banter but we will not forget Bob.
Remembering your smile, your gentle humour and your love of the beautiful Dorset countryside. You are greatly missed. Rest in peace, Robert.
I feel lucky to have known Robert and have fond memories of his happy smile and friendship over the years.
You were an unbelievably nice and good guy.
And an expert handyman. Bits of you remain all over our house – secured window, cat flap, hanging tapestry, roller blind and more.
In loving memory, Rob. I remember that you were always such a kind and caring person, from when we were friends in our schooldays in Purbeck, to more recently since my return to Dorset, sharing laughs with you in the garden and introducing you to our cat! It was a pleasure to know you. Rest in Peace.
Fond memories of Rob smiling whilst doing battle with my garden. Rest in peace.
I shall always remember your wicked sense of humour and naughty enjoyment of being a loving brother teasing your exasperated sister who you were so very proud of. I shall also remember your kindness in dark days, your love of talking about passed holidays with Glenda and your pride in doing a good job, but most of all I will miss that smile.
Such a testament to your life and great love within the family that Sue and Scottie wanted you with them always. Very inspiring to hear about how you fought back from illness with great courage. Taken too soon but thankful that you are now at peace. God bless you and yours, Rob. With love to you all, Kate
To our lovely, happy, smily, good friend Robert. Remembering all the high jinx, fun, laughter, holidays days out and times we shared together. The Norfolk Broads just won’t be the same without our captain Rob at the helm. We feel devasted to have lost you and its left an empty space in our hearts forever. You were so brave and fought so hard this past year. RIP lovely Rob. We will always be here for your Glenda.

Sending Sue and all the rest of Rob’s family and friends much love. We didn’t know Rob very well personally, but we did know how much he mattered to those that did – and of course we rooted for his recovery so that he could stay a while longer. So sorry he’s gone from you. RIP Rob. X
