When comparing us to others, please note we do not ask for any deposits in advance when arranging a funeral (except when purchasing a direct unattended cremation).

All funeral directors are legally required to publish a Standardised Price List for a standardised set of products and services. This is to help you compare prices between different funeral directors.

The Attended Funeral from our Standardised Price List includes the minimal products and services that allow for a dignified funeral. The Optional Extras allow you to create a funeral service that is unique to the person who has passed away. When comparing our prices, you may find that our Funeral Packages offer better value, as some of the Optional Extras are already included

This ‘Simple’ funeral package includes the simple essentials required for a dignified funeral service. We acknowledge that not everyone wants a big or traditional funeral. Therefore, we wanted to provide a funeral package that still covers the necessities without compromising on quality. The Simple Funeral option can be used for both Burial or Cremation. Only two pallbearers are provided in this plan so that family can assist with carrying the coffin. Should you wish to, you can choose to have additional pallbearers added to the funeral cost.

TRADITIONAL FUNERAL PACKAGE

Our traditional funeral packages in Dorset are designed for those who wish to opt for a more conventional funeral service. The traditional funeral enables bereaved families to have full use of our premises at any of our locations. It includes the transfer of the person who has died from the place of death to our premises and complete care until the funeral. The funeral costs also cover professional fees, use of visitation rooms, cortege via a local address and provision of four pallbearers to carry the coffin traditionally. This funeral package allows you to pay your respects in our Chapels of Rest. Upon appointment, this can be at any time, day, or night. For the mourners, a limousine is provided to transport them to and from the funeral service.

Douch Chapel Exclusive

DOUCH CHAPEL EXCLUSIVE

AVAILABLE AT CORFE MULLEN, BLANDFORD, PARKSTONE
The Douch Chapel funeral package cost includes the provision of the funeral directors’ services. Our highly-trained staff will attend to all of the necessary arrangements including transfer and care of the person who has died. You can choose from a selection of coffins starting from £370 that will be added to the funeral costs. With this funeral package, you have free use of our onsite ceremony rooms. These are available in Parkstone, Blandford or Corfe Mullen. It is assumed that the family and mourners will meet in our ceremony room for the funeral service. Following the service, we will transport the coffin in a suitable vehicle for the Crematorium. This is for a Direct Cremation with no family or mourners in attendance.

Italian Villa Exclusive

Introducing the Italian Villa Exclusive

AVAILABLE AT ALL LOCATIONS
Set within the beautiful gardens of Compton Acres, this unique venue is one of the most recent additions to our funeral packages in Dorset. Set over three floors, this elegant building is nestled amongst 10 acres of beautifully manicured gardens. The Italian Villa provides unmatched character and grandeur together with classic architecture. The modern facilities make it ideal for those wishing to arrange a funeral with the best quality, style, and taste. This funeral package enables exclusive use of the Villa on the day of the funeral. This means you are free to relax and make the most of the building and the charming grounds while saying a final goodbye to your loved one.

THE ITALIAN VILLA EXCLUSIVE EXAMPLE PRICE CONSISTS OF:

  • Personal attention from the Funeral Director throughout the whole proceeding.
  • Attending to all necessary funeral arrangements.
  • Provision of a superior timber coffin or eco-coffin (additional upgrades are available). For example, Oak Veneer with raised lid and rebated panels or an Oval Sea Grass and Willow.
  • Transfer of the deceased from the place of death within a twenty-mile radius during normal office hours.
  • Care of the deceased prior to the funeral together with unlimited viewings.
  • Free memoriam page on our website.
  • Supplying 50 quality colour printed orders of service.
  • Catering for 50 people. This can either be a gourmet sandwich or cream tea buffet with unlimited non-alcoholic beverages. All dietary requirements are catered for with advanced notice.
  • Supplying a hearse to convey the coffin from our private Chapel of Rest or a home address to the Italian Villa for the funeral service.
  • Provision of one limousine to convey the family to the Italian Villa for the funeral service, wait up to 4 hours and return the family home afterwards.
  • Supplying bearers and staff in attendance during the funeral service.
  • The full use of the Medici Suite for the funeral service, followed by one hour in the break-out area in the Siena Suite, whilst the Medici Suite is re-configured for the refreshment.
  • Collecting donations on behalf of your chosen Charity, listing all donors and forwarding the same.

BURIALS
For burials, as interment fees vary greatly, we will inform you of the funeral costs once informed of the location.

TRANSPORT & ACCOMMODATION
We are also available to arrange overnight accommodation, transportation of guests to and from airports, train stations and ferry terminals.

Horse Drawn Funeral

The horse drawn funeral package includes the transfer of your deceased loved one from the place of death to our premises, professional fees, and care of the deceased until the funeral. Our horse drawn funeral packages also include cortege by a local address, bearers for the funeral service, and the provision of a limousine to transport mourners. This will be to and from the funeral. You will also have free use of visitation rooms and viewings in our Chapels of Rest at any time. If a horse drawn or another specialist hearse carriage is requested, we will provide our motor hearse. This will convey the floral tributes and accompany the cortege.

Unattended Funeral

UNATTENDED DIRECT CREMATION

AVAILABLE AT ALL LOCATIONS
We offer Unattended Direct Cremation funeral packages that are a modern and cost-effective alternative to the traditional funeral. Unattended funerals are one of the least expensive types of funeral available. They require no family attendance and allow you to hold your own funeral service outside of the cremation or burial. This provides the flexibility of arranging a memorial with family and friends at a time that is right for you. As local funeral directors, we take pride in providing all our services to the highest of quality, no matter the price. Even without attendance, we will ensure we carry out your wishes to give your loved one the respectful funeral they deserve.

If you would like to scatter your loved ones ashes at your own private memorial, please let us know. We have a beautiful selection of urns and keepsakes available to purchase at our online store.

  • The transfer of the person who has died from their place of death (within a 20 mile radius) to our premises during normal office hours (add £150 if transfer takes place outside of normal office hours).
  • Caring for the person who has died until the Direct Cremation.
  • Supplying of a simple coffin suitable for Direct Cremation.
  • Attending to the necessary arrangements suitable for a Direct Cremation and administering paperwork.
  • Conveyance of the coffin to the crematorium in a suitable vehicle.
  • Supplying necessary staff at the Crematorium to move the coffin on a bier.

The Unattended Direct Cremation has the following stipulations attached:

The Funeral Directors Fees and Disbursements payable in full before the day of the funeral. (The Funeral Invoice may be paid by credit/debit card or cash. Cheques are acceptable however 3 clear working days will be needed for the Cheque to clear before the day of the funeral)

The Unattended Direct Cremation has no funeral ceremony, with no mourners or family attending. A suitable vehicle to convey the deceased to the most local crematorium at a date and time amenable to the Funeral Director.

Whilst making the funeral arrangements, your Funeral Director will inform you of the Disbursements required i.e. Cremation and Doctor’s Fees

The price is based upon the cremated remains being dispersed in the Gardens of Remembrance in the Crematorium grounds, or collected directly by the client within 28 days of the funeral service. Other arrangements can be made at additional cost.

Burials are available and priced on request.
