At Douch Family Funeral Directors one of our core values is to support the local community with charities and groups.
We are very proud to support many groups in the community, including local sports groups, our Lunch Time Clubs and Knit & Natter knitting groups. We also support charities that may need our support for a one-off event, and we fundraise for our ‘charity of the year’.
In 2022, our chosen charity of the year is #WillDoes. #WillDoes is dedicated to the memory of William Paddy, a sporty, charismatic child with a cheeky smile who grew up near Swanage, Dorset, and enjoyed horse riding, snowboarding, rugby and tennis. A sensitive and empathetic kid, Will loved animals and being surrounded by them.
Sadly his life ended early at the age of 14, but his energy lives on through those who knew him and in his charity, #Willdoes. Will’s mother, Les, has set up the charity to help young people who may be finding life tough, struggling to cope with daily life.
We will be hosting fundraising events throughout the year. You can find collection pots for this excellent cause in all our branches. If you would like to show your support, you can make a donation on our fundraising page.
