Non Religious Funerals
A non-religious funeral bears no reference to religion at all. The service is focused on celebrating and reflecting the life of the deceased. The service can be personalised by including favourite music, videos or text in the ceremony.
A non-religious funeral service can be held almost anywhere. We have helped to arrange non-religious ceremonies in a variety of venues, including hotels, open fields or even in the deceased’s own home.
A person who conducts a non-religious ceremony is usually referred to as funeral celebrant. There are various funeral celebrants, the most popular being a humanist celebrant. A humanist funeral service or memorial ceremony recognises no ‘after-life’, but instead uniquely and affectionately celebrates the life of the person who has died. Nothing in a humanist funeral service or memorial ceremony should be offensive to those who are religious.
You may have some religious belief, but you do not identify yourself with a particular church. There are non-religious celebrants who will include religious references if required.
