Dear Jean, Alex, Rachel, Grant & Sam,
My belated condolences. When I was a callow 18 year old, Alec showed a genuine interest in me which I never forgot. Conversations were testing (I had to be on my toes!) but rewarding. Lunchtimes in Oakley, briefly escaping away from BMS, were not wasted but spent poring over books in his library or watching Betamax cassettes of obscure dramas! Halcyon days, as Alex recently described them to me.
Kind regards,
Simon.
Dear Jean, Alex, Rachel, Grant and Sam,
The great Christmas parties, the lovely weddings of the four young Monks – all proudly headed by Alec, generous host of all hosts -what lovely memories to cherish!
Please accept our heartfelt condolences, Eszter and family
