In memory of a lovely lady.
Goodbye dearest Mum. Thank you for all the love, kindness and generosity throughout your life. I’ll miss you. Love Jen xxx
Olive brought sparkle to my life! Her wonderful smile and the unique pitch of her voice began to work their magic for me in 1947, when I was just three years old.
I loved to spend time at Grandma & Grandpa Setchell’s house in Bedford, just a few doors away from ours. They always had interesting visitors, mostly old and serious. This time, Olive swept into the dining room, laughing and full of fun, putting everyone at ease.
That is how Mary & I shall remember a lady who loved life, her family and cared.
Olive was my second mother when Jen and I were at school. Always smiling and welcoming, such a beautiful lady.
With much love and happy memories

Grandma,
Thank you for so many happy memories; around the table at Mum’s, at your house in Chandler’s Ford and before that in Maidenhead. You were always smiling and thinking of us, even in your later years you always asked how my exams and work were going.
Thanks to you and Grandpa for raising such a wonderful, caring family.
Love,
George x
Thank you so much Grandma for all the kindness and love you have shown us over the years. We have been so lucky to have shared so many wonderful memories with you and I’ll miss seeing your lovely smile. Thanks so much for helping out with all the piano lessons over the years and teaching us the importance of family.
Lots of love from Ros x

We are truly sorry that we can’t be with you today to share such happy memories of a lovely lady who played a large part in our lives bringing happiness in so many ways over so many years.

I have lovely memories of times our parents and families shared, and how kind and thoughtful your Mum was. Heartfelt condolences and love to you all. xx
So sorry to say goodbye to such a lovely person.
Our condolences and love to all of you from the Setchell family in California. I have fond memories of Olive and Barry at family gatherings with Joyce, Frank and my own grandparents George (Bob) and Violet Setchell.
Dear Olive, you have been a constant and very treasured friend of my parents Elsie and Frank Wood ever since you first met in Brazil so many years ago, and have been part of our ‘extended’ family as far back as I can remember, with special memories during all the Shell years in Brazil and the Far East, and later through correspondence and visits across the Atlantic after we moved to Canada. You have also been a dear friend to me since I came to England, and I’ve enjoyed our get-togethers reminiscing and hearing the news of your ever-increasing family who all meant so much to you. I’ll always remember your generosity, your interest in life, your beautiful blue eyes and sweet smile.
With love, Catherine
Olive was a lovely and kind lady with a generous and loving heart. She was especially important to me in my teenage years when I came to visit my friend Jennifer and join in family life. Olive always made me feel welcome, at home and safe. She lived a long, giving and good life and was blessed to have all her family nearby, which must have been a huge comfort to her in her final years as her family were her world. Olive left a loving imprint on this world and there’s not much more any of us could do than that. Much love to all the family,
In fond memory of Olive Swift, a gracious member of the Setchell family, of which I am grateful also to be a member. May she rest in peace.
