Dementia Friendly Community – The Douch Family Group

All staff across the Douch Family branches have completed a Dementia Friends Awareness Course, now accrediting us as a ‘Dementia Friendly Business’.

People with Dementia want to be treated with dignity and respect. This course has helped us all have an understanding of the condition itself, and an understanding of how best to help clients or carers that may be coping with different forms of Dementia.

We are the first Dorset business to complete this course across the whole company and feel very proud to be a ‘Dementia Friendly’ business.

Lesley Shand, our Corfe Mullen Branch are part of the Dementia Friends Steering Group helping to raise awareness within the Corfe Mullen community & across Dorset.
