It is with great sadness that we write to Elsa and all of Barry’s family on this sad occasion we will always remember Barry from his 45 Fd Sqn days and on the occasions of our meetings thereafter take care all of you.

My deepest condolences to Barry’s family at this most upsetting time. I was lucky enough to serve with Barry in Nienburg in the early 70s and loved his company, he was a real gentleman and a genuine friend. RIP mate.

Had the pleasure of first meeting barry way back in 1969, he was our training corporal of 69/12 party. He had REspect from all us new starters (sprogs), he had to be hard with us, but very fare. I later met him briefly mid 1970 at Neinburg, still the same person, its a pleasure to have known barry, a top man in many ways, Total REspect.
