Auf Wiedersehen liebe Derek. It was nice talking to you. R.I.P My dear friend 😔🥰
Strange how we first met Derek in Paderborn, Germany, and within a few months we moved to Berlin. We then lost contact until we met up again in Poole, and you had retired from the Army Catering Corps (ACC), but then you worked in Bovington and so did I.
We have managed to keep in touch until you moved on to a Catering job on high!
R.I.P dear Derek, you will be sadly missed! 😔😔
Derek you were one of life’s gentlemen, who was very kind and considerate, always keeping in touch.
Diane and Terry will sadly have a huge void in their lives with you gone.
There are not many people these days with your calibre – one of a kind.
Love Pauline
Dear Derek
It seems hard saying goodbye for the last time, so unexpectedly. We feel lucky to have such fond memories of you. A kind, generous man, truly one of life’s gentlemen, who was never happier than when surrounded by people enjoying themselves.
God Bless with Love from Lorraine and Mike

Grandad,
I wall always cherish the memories of summers spent with you and Nan in my favourite place. As much as it’s sad that you are gone I take solace in the fact that you are reunited with nan
You’ll always be my big natterbox who taught me how to make pancakes
Rest in peace

Hi Derek
You were always such a joy to talk to. Whenever we would talk you would always bring a smile to my face.
You were such a great part of my extended family and it was a joy to know you.

What a shock, we were only putting the world to rights a few days earlier. Hope you sorted those pesky kitchen fitters out. Both being ex-military we could talk the talk. Nice to have known you, your good lady and children all those years. From a neighbour across the road. Sleep in the arms of the Lord mate. Malcolm.
You will be sadly missed Derek especially our chats over the garden wall. You were a great neighbour and a close friend. Rest in peace.
Dot, Mike and Family.
