Dear Jack
Shame I missed you the other week, but we will always remember you with great affection and you will ever be in our hearts, rest in peace and sleep tight.
Love from
Peter & Lesley & Family
In loving memory of our amazing and lovely friend Jack – we will miss him very much and remember with joy all the times we spent together through the many years.
With love from John, Linda, Michael, Nika & Lola
It was with great sadness that I learned of Jack’s passing. I got to know him when he was a youngster – his late 80s! A man who clearly knew the way this world spun around; mind as sharp as a knife – a proper leftist too; highly commendable. What a double act, in the Legion, with his cousin Gordon. Those were good nights.
Jackie and Martin you’ve done him proud the way you have cared and looked after him these past years – even when some Herbert smuggled him up to Palace of Westminster for a day out on the p*** at his advanced age. What a laugh we all had that day.
So, it’s cheerio Jack “Tar”; it really was a privilege to know you. Aye, aye.
We had great admiration for Jack. I was Peggy’s cousin and knew jack when I was very young. He will be sadly missed
Dear Jack, it has been a pleasure to know you and share many wonderful memories.
Much love
Michele, Andy St Vincent
Dear Jack
We will miss your kindness and humour. So sad you just missed the big one. We will remember your friendly smile and we’re so sorry to drag you round the cliff top walk on New Year’s Day , not knowing that the sole of one of your shoes was missing!
In true ”Jack-style” you never mentioned it!
Rest in peace
With all our Love
Rick, Helen and family
Jack’s joviality has always been something I have admired – often finding myself looking forward to amusing anecdotes about his recent escapades. Although these became less frequent over the last few years, it is something Tom has also noticed and had the pleasure of experiencing. Both of us will miss him dearly!
Dear Jack,
A lovely gentleman, good friend with a great sense of humour, loved the golfing trips and especially the 19th hole. We will remember all the good times we had with you over the past 40+ years.
Rest In Peace Dear Friend.
God Bless.
Love,
Sylvia & Charlie
We were privileged to have some glimpses of Jack’s recent years and his warmth, happiness and love with his family were heart-warming to see, as was the devotion and love for him in return. Jack always gave out a sense of fun and joy after his life and service. His last experiences were wonderful, creating so many precious memories. You will be missed but there are so many memories of how you lived life to the full, supported by your caring and loving family.
With love,
Tricia and James
I’m writing this on behalf of the Inwood family, we are all saddened at the news of Jacks passing and we send lots of love to Jackie and Martin, dad recently spent time with you all and had a lovely time reminiscing of family times.
He was a great man with great stories and a cheeky grin.
Rest In Peace xx
After reading Jack’s tribute
I can understand now how he was so grounded logical.
I have clear memories in my head of what a lovely clever man he was.
He was a wonderful man.
Jacqueline & Martin you looked after him so well.
So much love and care for each other.
I think you had the best father in the World.
Wishing much strength in this difficult time.
Love to you both.
Philip
We remember Jack with warm memories. Jack was a truly wonderful man, always kind and caring, with a little twinkle in his eye. It has been a great privilege to have known him and shared time with him. A final toast to you Jack. Today would have been your hundredth birthday and you will always stay in our hearts. God bless. Love Debbie, Mike, Ellina and Matthew (18th December 2021).
Lovely Jack, not only a gentleman but a gentle man too. Always good company and very interesting to chat with, a real fountain of knowledge. A long life well lived, and now back together with his Peggy. Rest in peace together xxx
