We Would like to say how much Jill will be missed by her God children, Steven, Nicola and Jonathan and long term friend Joan Pearce. She never forgot a birthday or a Christmas card and we always enjoyed receiving her typed up yearly message. She was a ‘tough old bird’ who lived life on her own terms and we will remember her stories and anecdotes about her life with fondness. All our love, Pearce family, Joan, Steven, Penny, Poppy, Florence and Cleo, Jonathan and Jules, Zanzi and Sabah, Nic and Rick.
So sad to hear about Jill. We met 38 years ago on holiday in Menorca where the hotel had a large red parrot. Arranging to reunite at Beamish Museum three decades later during one of her trips, she sent us an inflatable parrot to wave so we would recognise each other. Typical of her sense of humour. A great friend and a lovely woman.
