Dear Maureen and family,
We are thinking of you at this sad time and send you our sincere sympathies.
John was a very good friend of my late father, Alan Turner. They were in the Police Federation and Masons together and shared many a tot of whisky in the bar of the Mostyn and other local hostelries.
John was also a sergeant when I was a fresh faced WPC at Marylebone in the early 80’s.
He was such a lovely gentleman who cared so much for all of his colleagues and was a friend to everyone and will be greatly missed.
