  4. A sad farewell to John, a kind and genuine man, a character, who never complained despite his problems, a man with a heart as big as Dorset. A loyal member of both Dorset Branch NARPO and the Dorset Police Male Voice Choir. He will be missed by so many – it was good to have known him. Thanks for the memories, John.

  5. I had the privilege of working with John on a number of occasions and it was always a pleasure.
To sum him up in my opinion “he was a good Lad”

  6. Very sorry to hear the news. I served with John during our National Service in the Royal Military Police in Germany 1956/7 and I have great memories of that time with him. Always cheerful and a joke for every occasion.
Since those days we have met with him and Ann at NARPO, and RMP events, and have so enjoyed and looked forward to their lovely company. A lovely couple, and we will feel his loss so much.
