The Reverend Margaret Mulraine
Peacefully at Poole Hospital on Saturday 11th September, 2021 aged 97 years.
She will be very sadly missed by her family and many friends,
Miss Mulraine (as I knew her) was my Head Mistress at Ashley Cross School. I have often thought of her over the years. I remember her as a very kind, caring and warm person, with a lovely smile. Sending my condolences.
Miss Mulraine was also my headmistress between 1979-1983 at Ashley Cross, she was a lovely lady who had the respect of most of the girls who attended school. She was always firm but fair and I will always remember her on the school stage every morning conducting our morning assemblies with pride. I have often wondered over the years what path she took during life and am pleased to read that she had a very long and successful life. The photos posted are exactly how I remember her, she has not changed. A remarkable lady RIP miss mulraine , sending her family and friends my condolences xxx
I knew and loved Margaret for many years and my husband and I attended St. Nicholas Arne during the years when she was the incumbent. Sermons were always relevant and meaningful and in latter years her thoughtfulness when my husband died was a great comfort. She sent cards on the anniversary of his death and at Christmas and it was a sad day when she decided to leave Wareham to live in the Quaker home – but I believe she was very comfortable there. What a full life, lived faithfully .
Very sad to hear that my mother’s old school friend (and my god mother), Margaret had passed away.
She had also presided over my our wedding, in Harlow, alongside the Catholic Priest. Between them they brought two sides of the christian church together in one joint celebration of matrimony.
She will be sadly missed.
I am also sorry that I didn’t hear this sad news earlier, as I would have liked to of attended the funeral service – unfortunately, so often happens in this current climate both good news and sad news moves very slowly.
All my condolences.
