  1. Peggy was such an inspiration. She was a huge part of Lulworth village and I knew her best from The Players. She was game for anything and would play any part, wear any ridiculous costume and have a go at any dance moves, which put many of us to shame. She will be sadly missed. The world needs more Peggies- so kind, so thoughtful and so full of life.

  2. Peggy made us so welcome when we came to West Lulworth. She was always so enthusiastic and generous both with her time and especially her cake and flapjacks!! She will be sorely missed in many aspects of the life in the village.

  3. Peggy will be missed at the many functions where she cheered us all up and made us tea, with biscuits or even better cake she had made.
She has been a very good friend and volunteer at so many things we will miss her immensely.

  5. Peggy was such a loved member of Holy Trinity Church community and we are so sad to lose her. Always cheerful, always helpful and always determined that the church was clean, tidy and beautifully decorated by her team of flower arrangers. We miss her so much.

  7. My Dearest Aunty Peggy, I have so many lovely memories of the many times I stayed with you.
At Passworth when my parents were in Africa. When I was at Bording school you always bought me a birthday cake, and treats. And in Sardinia when you looked after me for 6 weeks while I worked out there. Then when my children came along the lovely days we had at Lulworth. I miss you, but at least I have many happy funny memories. Thankyou for being such a wonderful Aunt and Godmother.
    Love and blessings

  10. I thought that I had seen everything on stage. But this shows what a great actress Peggy was. She was on stage dancing and singing ‘Despicable Me’ and did it so well. This was the complete opposite of Peggy who was the most lovely person and also the most loved. Giles Marsh. Peggy had a smile for everyone, even if she wasn’t feeling 100%. She was an inspirational Christian women and will be missed so much. I have some of her wonderful recipes and will always think of her when I make fruit cake with whisky, cheesy biscuits or flapjack. 11. Peggy will always be remembered for the kind, helpful and cheerful lady she was – tirelessly baking cakes and flapjacks for our church congregations, drama group players, fund raising events and the like. We will always remember her for her entertaining and enthusiastic stage performances too. She was such a village personality and will be so much missed here in Lulworth.

  13. ‘Auntie’ Peggy was not my biological Auntie, but our family grew up with the Worboys in Ockham, and we considered Peggy, Alan, Andrew, Karen and Mark as family. Auntie Peggy was the most kind, welcoming, generous lady. She was like a second mother. Nothing was too much bother and her lunches, afternoon teas and dinners were second to none. I never ever remember her being anything but happy and smiling.
The funeral service was truly moving and a wonderful tribute to an amazing lady.
She will be missed by us all.
    Lots of love, Jane xxx

  15. Aunty Peggy was undoubtedly one of the sweetest and kindest people that I have ever met. She always had such a warm and caring nature and a wonderfully infectious sense of humour!
I have nothing but the happiest memories of times spent together, and I feel truly honoured that she was my Godmother.
    God bless you Aunty Peggy

  16. We are so saddened by the death of Peggy . She was our friend since we arrived in Lulworth in 1990. She was always so kind and helpful. We have so many lovely memories of her and I am so glad that I was able to see her through the window when we were down last September.
We send Andrew, Karen and Mark our deepest sympathy. Peggy will be greatly missed.
With love from Monica & John.
