Mark was someone I was proud to call a friend. We shared a love of reading and music and both of us were big dog lovers. Mark was immensely proud of Willow and he talked of her often with such fondness. I will miss him as will many others. He deserved a much longer retirement to potter about playing with his power tools and ride on equipment, or go off on adventures on his motorbike. Marion and Willow please accept my sincerest condolences. I’m sure that you’re both still in a state of shock and the dogs must be mourning the absence of their best mate. That was the nicest service I have ever attended and really captured the essence of Mark. Well done Willow for getting up and reading your Dad’s poem. I didn’t have the courage to do that for my parents. He won’t be forgotten and I will cherish the memories of our friendship. With love. xx
