Mike was a fine friend and a fine man. I greatly treasured his warm companionship over the years. In our conversations, Mike would speak happily of family and friends and Wareham and cricket, and he would fondly celebrate the people, places and times that made our lives precious, as he himself was precious. Mike will be greatly missed.

Condolences to all of the family. I have very fond memories of my Uncle Mike, and always looked forward to visiting both him and Aunty Janet when we could make a trip to Dorset.

We were very sorry to hear of the death of Dr Burgess. We and our family were patients of his for many years from when we moved to Wareham in 1964. We were most grateful for his care and kindness and we remember him with affection. We send our heartfelt condolences to his family.
