My sincere condolences to Julie, Steven, David, Lucy and Thomas, and friends and extended family. Auntie Peg was a wonderfully kind and sweet woman. I have beautiful memories of her and always loved visiting. I was lucky to travel to the UK with my Mum every couple of years in my childhood, and loved the time we had together in the trips since. I am very sad to not be able to attend the funeral of my much loved cousin Peggy, as I remember very fondly the times we spent together especially in our childhoods. My visits to Dorset in later years are another happy memory and we were delighted to welcome her here in Chadwell Heath for my mother’s 95th birthday celebrations.
The last time I saw her was at her brother Peter’s funeral in Southend and although that was a more sadder occasion I’m glad we had a chance to meet again before lockdown made such things near impossible.
Although I will struggle to watch the funeral online as it happens, my nephew Paul (who helps me to access new things on my iPad) will be back from Italy the following day to be able to help me view it fairly soon afterwards.
Paul is helping me by typing this and he is also send his condolences at this sad time, as he remembers Peggy’s visits to Chadwell Heath when he was staying there in the school holidays as a youngster.
Both of our thoughts will be with you on Friday afternoon and Betty will call at some Stephen at some point, but in the meantime, please be assured of our affectionate best wishes for the entire family at this difficult time.
A donation has been made in memory of happy childhood holidays spent with Aunty Peg in Stur. With sympathy for Julie, Stephen, family and friends.
We are very sorry to hear of Auntie Peggy’s death. Dave has fond memories of staying in Chandlers Ford and seeing Auntie Peggy in Sturminster Marshall. We appreciated her visit to Lancashire for Mum’s (Kathleen Wynn) 80th birthday celebration. We regret that we are unable to attend her funeral, but will be watching the live stream and thinking of you.
Our sincere condolences to Tom and his extended family on the sad news. May special and happy memories you shared with your Grandmother bring you comfort.
